The parent company, gps dataservice GmbH, based in Germany, is a full-service market research company, specialising in real life shopper research and with over 15 years' experience in the field of experimental store testing in the FMCG industry, analysis of scanner data and customer card data, as well as studies in shopper behaviour.

The offices in Singapore and Malaysia were opened in 2010 in order to allow businesses and manufacturers in Southeast Asia access to the specialised know-how/methods of gps research.
