gps dataservice is a full service market research company, specialising in Real Life Shopper Research.

Independent studies show that about 70-80% of purchasing decisions are made at POS (Point Of Sale) rather than when consumers enter shops.

We therefore aspire to investigate buying trends in realistic "real life" situations, i.e. at POS.

In implementing our projects, we rely on a team of employees with varying qualifications in the fields of Market Research, Marketing and Sales.

360-degree shopper research

We view the shopper from a 360-degree angle, by using various information sources in our analyses.

In this way we are able to investigate the effects on sales from testing measures (scanner data), as well as the effects on certain shopper groups at household level (customer card data), and provide explanatory approaches for shopper behaviour using quantitative as well as qualitative methods (surveys, shopping assistance, shopper cam, eye tracking).

Since 2006 we have also conducted research abroad, and currently have our own local subsidiaries in Malta, Russia, Singapore and Malaysia.
